Cath Kidston store arrives in Belfast

Last week I took the opportunity while in Belfast city centre to visit the new Cath Kidston shop. It is directly opposite Avoca (which I love) and just down from White Stuff (which I love too)!

Cath Kidston decscribed her designs as having a Marmite effect – she said this

“People either love it and want a little bit of it very much, or want to stab us.”

I snapped a few photos with my iphone – here you go:

I love the colours and the layout of the store.

To have an entire house decorated in Cath Kidston would be a bit much for me (and cost a fortune) but I would love the odd wee bit.

These are the “oil cloth” table cloth fabrics.

If my husband read my blog I would be dropping some hints for Mothers Day next month, but he rarely reads it, and when he does he confesses he only looks at the pictures!

Loved the kitchen accessories

Finally there were some lovely ribbons, buttons etc

So, what do you think?

Lovely, or too much? Not to everyone’s taste I know, but it is mine (in a measured amount)

  1. I love it but agree not a full house. Love the fabrics, buttons and ribbons. Looking forward to going down and buying some. Hubby not so much!!!!

  2. I don’t “know” Cath Kidston but I’m not a sewer.

I do like colour and bits of whimsy here and there though but I would not pay just for a brand name 🙂

  3. I love the colored bakeware and I have a daughter that I know would love it too I just may have to pick some up when I’m there in two weeks! What is the white stuff store ? Just getting ready so I know what shops to stop at

  4. Oh! Cute! I love the cheery oil cloth prints and the brightly colored dishes… but a whole house of it might be a little too much!
