Twinkle, twinkle

This nursery rhyme has been a one of the first ones each of my kids sang to themselves, and always reminds me of sleeping babies. There is nothing as beautiful and peaceful as watching a child sleep.

So when I saw the word art included in this great new cardboard Super Stars kit from Gina Marie Huff at Weeds & Wildflowers, available at ScrapArtist.com, it was just a matter of choosing which child to include. As my daughters were born pre-digital, I tend to use more baby pics of Sam – so Sam it is.

Here is the layout

The busy week is nearing an end. Had a successful Sports Day yesterday for P3 and P4, but rain postponed the P5, P6 and P7 one today. Here are a couple of photos from Sports Day. All the kids were asked to wear yellow ribbons or clothes to remember Madeline, a little english girl who went missing in Portugal 6 weeks ago. Donations were given for her parents and for a missing persons charity. Picture quality not great, and obviously didn’t want to include any other children.
Off to holiday cottage this weekend. The nearby Dunluce Castle is having a special Living History weekend, with story-telling etc, so may have some photos of that to share next week.
Hope your weekend goes well with you and yours,
Take care
