A Heritage Layout (for a change) and I’ve been tagged!

First the Layout

Lots of different credits – you can check them out here

I completed this for another challenge over at Elemental Scrap. I have scrapped black and white photos so far, but this was by first totally black and white (and grey) layout. I really enjoyed it – and will definitely do more.

I have always been fascinated by this photograph of my great grandfather. The quality of the photograph and image is far superior than any other photos I have from that period of time – and I think he has amazing eyes. I do wonder what he would make of his photograph being posted on a blog in 2007!

Thinking Blogger Award

The origin of this comes from The thinking blog,

If you want to check it out. The rules are:1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think,2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin of the meme,3. Optional: Proudly display the ‘Thinking Blogger Award’ with a link to the post that you wrote (here is an alternative silver version if gold doesn’t fit your blog).

So – I’ve been tagged by the lovely Deb at Doxie Designs. Unfortunately I can’t nominate her, as I must now pick 5 more blogs for my choices.

Mrs Miles https://lalalime.blogspot.com/ for the inspiring way she shares her faith, her life, her scrapbooking freebies

Amy K https://www.thescrapspace.com/amy/ great blog – shares her faith and her life in a refreshingly open and honest way

Misty Cato Designs https://mistycatodesigns.blogspot.com/ for her great tutorials

Kristy https://www.limegreenbogiegirl.blogspot.com/ for her wonderful photographs and her lovely bright style

K Sharonk https://artisticmusings.typepad.com/ I love the simple fresh layout of her blog, her fantanstic freebies and her own wonderful layouts – they always inspire me

So those are my choices – go check them out.

Have a wonderful Wednesday

Take care

  1. Love the B/W layout. Usually they look so modern, but you’ve done an excellent job with a vintage looking heritage layout.

  2. Great use of white space! I have trouble making a white space layout that I like, but you did a great job!!

Good job researching that award thing too! LOL I didn’t know it had a start like that, just knew I got tagged!

Also I think your layouts are really nice, so when you decide you want to work for someone, look around!! There is usually several designers looking, and I think they would be very lucky to get you. I’m sure eventually, if you can live with what they want, that you will be on at least one, if not more, teams.
