Zip-it – a Fun Family Word Game

A few months back I reviewed Bananagrams – a fun word game I bought at BritMums Live blogging conference. Now I have the opportunity to review another game from the same creators.

Zip-it is portable, quick, and suitable for our whole family.

Each round only takes about 1 minute, so although it is only a 2 player game, everyone can quickly have a turn without too much waiting.

If you want to you can play until one player reaches the 10 points, scoring 1 point for each round won, and there is a very ingenious built-in score board using the two zips on the handy cloth pouch.

There are just 24 letter cubes, and it is perfect for younger spellers as there is always plenty of 3 and 4 letter words to create. Definitely portable, in fact I think I will keep it in my handbag for the next restaurant trip to stop the kids arguing keep the troups entertained while we wait.

I know of several families who purchased Banagrams after my last review, and I have no hesitation in recommending this one too – in fact I might even prefer it!

Disclaimer – I was provided with Zip-It for the purposes of review but I promise all opinions are my own.

Do you have a favourite travel game for the family?

  1. Hi JM,

Yes, we love playing scrabble when we go camping – word games are always fun and have the benefit to teach us new words.

    Thanks for sharing!
