Wedding Blues Jewellery by JanMary Designs

I mentioned before the summer about a wedding jewellery order I had received.  As the wedding is now over, I can share what I created for the Big Day, and 2 of the lovely bridesmaids (mother and daughter).

In total I made a necklace for the mother of the bride in pinks to match her outfit and three bridesmaids necklaces in blues to co-ordinate with their dresses.

For each necklace I crocheted strands of swarovski crystals on fine silver-plated wire, and then intertwined the strands and added a “blingy” catch to each.

The wedding reception was in Belfast Castle, where my parents had their wedding reception nearly 50 years ago.

The bride, mother of the bride and bridesmaids were all delighted with their creations, and I am pleased to report I have already received enquiries about future weddings, based on this wedding.

If you would like to commission some unique jewellery (jewelery) for a special occasion, don’t hesitate to get in touch.  Prices for these necklaces started at £25 (less than US $40) and shipping is free worldwide.

Let me know, if you are married, what colour were your bridesmaids? Mine were pink/floral!

mine wore black dresses and we added a small deep red bow around the waist. i bought them all a strand of pearls & pearl studs to wear with the dress!

  2. I forgot about my bridesmaids! For my first wedding, they wore a delicate floral print dress – it was so pretty!

I didn’t have bridesmaids at my second wedding, but if I had, I would have loved something black and white.
