More from our trip to Florida

We have now been back almost a month, and if I don’t blog soon about the rest of our trip I will have forgotten entirely!

I think I’d got up to the Saturday, half way through our trip, and we had spend the afternoon/evening in Animal Kingdom, so I will take it from there.

Sunday

It was chilly (relatively!) today when we headed back to the Animal Kingdom. It remains one of my favourite parks to walk around. It never seems as hectic as some of the other parks.

We started the day with meeting some characters – Winnie the Pooh and friends, and getting pillow cases signed. (Best tip ever was taking plain white pillow cases instead of the usual autograph books, even our teens enjoyed getting them signed, and all 3 now have them on their beds!)

St Patrick`s Day iPhone Photowalk on the bewch

Just spending one night up at the cottage for St Patrick`s , and this morning we wrapped up warmly for a walk on the beach. There are quite a few beaches nearby to choose from, but we opted for Runkerry Strand wish is near Portballintrae.

From the carpark in Portballintrae it is just a short walk down a path with stunning views

Then over the River Bush by a wooden foot bridge

And on to the beach

The tide was quite far in, so there was little sand to walk on, mostly rocks.

Lots of bright seaweed to take pics of – this is not photo editing, it really was that orange.

Despite being such a cold blustery day, it was quite sheltered on the actual beach, despite the hugs waves.

However we didn’t linger too long.

Back over the bridge

Up the path to the car park.  There is a small stone stile which I remember climbing over as a child, and now it is my son’s turn.

So there you have it – all photos taken on the iphone.

Happy St Patrick’s Day wherever you are.
