Show & Tell – Kitchen Accessories

While planning my kitchen makeover, I did my best to resist buying any new kitchen accessories. However, now the end is in sight, and the BIG full reveal planned for next week, I have succumbed to a few purchases over the past few weeks. This week they are my Show and Tell.

I am also joining in the with Melissa at The Inspired Room and Hooked on Fridays today over at Hooked on Houses – as I seem to be hooked on a certain colour combination! Can you guess what colours?!

The new apron
The pastry brush and spatula, oven ware and serving plate

The spoon rest

The new washing-up bowl!

and of course a few I have already shared….

the COOK letters
the pottery I painted myself

the new glasses.
Am I a sad person that I want to blog about a new apron and washing-up bowl? All were bargins, and apart from the letters, they all cost less than ยฃ5.

So, final painting and finishing permitting, we will have the new kitchen, it all it’s glory, next week. I hope you will join me!

In other news, I have completed 6 new bracelets. Some new charms and beads I ordered have now arrived, so I can’t wait to use them.

The new items will soon be available and you can check them HERE or MY ETSY store.
ALERT – proud mummy moment coming up

Yesterday at school both my daughters were named Super Kids of the month! These are given out to a number of pupils each month for great effort and attitude.

My daughters got them for great handwriting, careful work and smiling. The other for being a great friend and great progress in reading. I love that the awards are not just for academic achievements, but for lovely social skills too.

Tonight is the opening of the new buildings and facilities at our kids’ primary school. Yesterday we made 5 dozen brownies to sell this evening at the event in aid of UNICEF.

I am also helping tonight to sell a photo montage of the old school (now demolished) which I created to raise money for more play equipment for the new school.

Finally …promise…….You asked – I answer. I will make my way through the questions, in no particular order!

Question from Creative Junkie Were you born and raised in Ireland? Was your husband?

Yes, yes and yes! I was born in Co Fermanagh, and have spent most of my life in Co Antrim, both in Northern Ireland (apart from one year when we moved to England for my husband’s work).

My husband was born and raised in County Armagh. As Northern Ireland is such a small place, nowhere is ever very far away!
