It’s Good to Talk
This morning we took our house guest to Bangor, where she was meeting her other Northern Irish friend. I took the opportunity to photograph the marina, and my eldest daughter for the new online photography course I am taking. Here is one of my fav shots of her this morning, while she was talking on…
On the 3rd of December ….. it snowed
Today, after a long week of ice and freezing temperatures the snow finally started to fall again today. Not a lot, but enough to make the cars struggle in our street, and enough for me to get out in the garden with my camera. The birds were glad of our bird feeders but no photos…

Todays digital scrapbooking layout is (for a change) another Paris layout. For more paris pics, read on! Simply put – my What Works for Me Wednesday is Try Ikea – especially if you live nearby one of their stores. On my last post I mentioned in passing I was planning on visiting Ikea. I was…
Its Friday!
I read a great post on Misty Cato’s blog (see link on right) about the balance between creating artistic layouts that look beautiful and creating meaningful layouts that will be a record for prosperity. As I am just setting out on my adventure into digi-scrapping I am probably not doing either very well yet. Certainly…
When Raymond met Sally
Technically this post should be when Raymond met Sally and Hazel, but somehow that is just not as catchy! (Sorry Hazel!) Finally. almost one month after I returned to Northern Ireland, I will finally finish blogging about my trip to Bristol. Did you miss the other parts? Well, I’ll forgive you this time, and you…
On the 15th December… family Christmas cards
Since discovering the joys of digital scrapbooking and Adobe Photoshop, I have created our own family Christmas Card for 4 years now. This year I used a photo from Halloween sparklers Last year 2008 and finally 2007 Which one do you prefer? (if any!) Do you do a family photo card? If you would like…

Lessons Learned this week
It’s that time again, for some more lessons learned. Since last week, here is what has been happening, and what lessons I have learned 1. Our cat prefers to stay indoors when it snows (which isn’t often here in N Ireland), but kept a close eye on the snowman building 2. When a friend tells…
Blog Journal Day 14 & 15 Where I blog and Bucket List Top 5
I am continuing with my blog journal, and the first topic is “Where I blog”. I do most of my blogging at my laptop on my laptop shelf in our kitchen/family room. Sometimes it is a LOT more cluttered than this! George, the cat, loves to sit on the edge of the sofa while I…

The Bride Wore Black! My first time photographing a wedding.
So I was invited to photograph my first wedding yesterday. It was a bit stressful, but also lots of fun, and great to be part of Paula and Jimmy’s day. It was quite unconventional and informal, from the music choices to having no seating plan or order of service and it all helped to create…

Review of Bananagram – fun family game
- 1. It was promoted as a game for all ages (from 7 up)
- 2. It was Olympic 2012 special addition and I was in London and promised to bring home a souvenir
- 3. It looked fun while being educational too
- 4. Easily transported for family holidays
We have already played it with friends and family …. and it has been very popular.
The rules are easy, and it can be fun working in team with some of the younger players
The frequent request on completing a game is “just one more game please”
At Britmums I did see a number of other games from makers of Bananagrams and I would be certainly keen to try some more. This game was purchased by me, and all opinions expressed are entirely my own – promise!
What is your favourite family game?

The "Before the Kitchen Makeover" Pics
I decided it was time to share my current kitchen/family room. The makeover starts on Friday, when the existing floor, and appliances will be removed. The only items which will be staying are the navy sofas. Ever since we bought this house 10 years ago, I have been planning the replacement in my mind. It…
Looks like a hoot! I can’t remember the last time we played a game, so sad! We hope to go camping in the fall and then we will do that – my Mr. bought a Stratego game at a yard sale, he has fond childhood memories of it so guess who will be learning? Have you ever heard of it?
Thanks for sharing!
