My Scrapping Tips and some layouts
Over at Dusty Bear’s yahoo group there is a great topic on sharing out tips. Mine are not technical and very much from the point of view of a new digital scrapper, but I thought I would share them with you :

- It is NOT compulsory to download EVERY freebie you find (I am trying to be a bit more discerning now, but still get into a freebie frenzy some days!)

- As Barney says “Please and thankyou are the magic words” – try to say thanks and post comments when you do download.

- If you are intimidated and don’t know where to start – start with some challenges – especially template challenges. Dusty Bear got me creating with her first challenge in January. I tend to look for challenges at DigiscrapDiva, GottaPixel and 3 Scrapateers.

- BACKUP, BACKUP, BACKUP – I have learnt by my mistakes – please learn from mine too!
- Finally, dive in and created – don’t spend all day in forums and stores and blogs like this!
So here are a few layouts I have been working on for various challenges.
This is my family tree – yes that’s me! As I hate photos of me and have yet to scrap any pics of me – you probably won’t get to see me too often!

Hello JanMary – thank you so much for your sweet comment at my blog! I am JUST TICKLED (hear me laughing?) that you started a blog! I’ve read thru your first entry and will come back for the rest – as you know I’m in the throes of a move… I love the family tree layout – I have to do something for a friend and that looks like what I would LIKE to do, but there are some 200 people on hers so…sigh… What a pretty layout of your Grandmother, and your children look like they had a lot of fun at the beach. Can you swim at these beaches in the summer? I am fascinated by Ireland – please tell me more about where you live! I look forward to more visits. Barb (Mrs. Miles)
