Happy St Patricks Day and Happy Mothers Day

I know I am a bit early, but it is going to be a busy weekend – more of that later.

So firstly – St Patricks Day.
I have been amazed by the amount of St Patricks Day stuff around the digi-scrapping world. To be honest, St Patricks Day is not that big a deal here. There is a parade in Belfast, and some things happening in Downpatrick, where Patrick is said to be buried. More happens in the south – Dublin etc. As it falls on a Saturday this year, so Monday will be a Bank Holiday, but our kids won’t get the day off school. It seems to be a much bigger event outside Ireland – so enjoy the day – wherever you are.

Tomorrow (Saturday) we will be going to a family wedding – all 5 of us, including our 2 1/2 year old. My 2 daughters are very excited – they have never been wedding guests before. Tonight before bed, they tried on their new dresses and helped me to make necklaces to match their dresses. Why make something in plenty of time, when you can do it at the last minute!

Sunday then is Mothers Day or Mothering Sunday. As I have seen very little mention of it in the digi-scrap world I assume that it is just here in UK and Ireland. I have made my mum her first digitally scrapped card, using a lovely kit I bought recently from NitWit, called QuiltyPleasures. My mum and dad are coming over after church for lunch, and my hubby is cooking for all of us. Card layout will be posted separately.

So thanks for reading my ramblings. Comments very welcome.

Have a great weekend, and take care
