Family Trip to Florida Part 2 – Epcot (and Target!)

Day 2 – the kids coping better with jetlag, and managed to sleep much longer than us, but by 7am we were all awake, and I even managed a swim before breakfast.

We left about 8.15 am for Epcot, with a plan just to stay as long as we can manage before we fade.

I decided to bring both my DSLR and iphone for this first park day, and see how that went …… the answer, is that mostly I will just bring my iphone!

Soarin! was the first ride, and a definite hit. We then went to see Crush, and our son was delighted to be one of the kids chosen to chat with Crush “dude”!

We did the Nemo ride next, but although enjoyable the kids preferred the interaction of Crush.

A stop off in the Coke attraction was next – I loved the Israel one, and the Chinese one. Persuaded my husband to try “Beverley” – lol!

Next stop was Spaceship Earth – we all enjoyed that one.

My thrill-seeker son headed with my husband to Test Track and my shopping-seeking daughters and I went shopping!

Few purchases – including a Mickey Christmas Tree Ornament.

WAY back on our last visit to WDW we did the Leave a Legacy – we paid  to have our names and images on a wall in front of the “golf ball”. I had looked into how to find our images again, and in the Camera Connection store there were able to provide us with the location.

Here we are!

And here is our view!

By then it was after 1 -we still needed to buy some groceries, but stopped for lunch at TGI Fridays, and then went to Publix – there may have been several Reeces peanut butter goodies in the shopping trolley!

Back to the villa and the hot tub – there were already a number of pool toys including an inflatable boat which provided lots of entertainment!

Ouur plan had been initially that we would go back to Epcot for the Illuminations, but then we thought we were all “parked out”. Our next plan was to head out to some shops in the evening – in particular the Aeropostale outlet store, but we realised just in time it was a Sunday and they closed early.

Quick change of plan, and we visited Target (Always think of Jo -Lynne Shane!) and my husband and son showed remarkable fortitude and patience …..

Here endeth the second day! Sorry for all the detail, feel free to skip these posts, but comments and visitors always welcome.

  1. I thought for sure you would have posted a photo of your target loot!!!
I guess you didn’t walk around the countries part of epcot? That was always my favorite part and getting pastieries in France
Just taking a little break from packing – hope sea world was fun – it is supposed to rain for a few days but then sun by the weekend!
