Digital Scrapping some Christmas Decorations

It is Show and Tell time again, and I want to share with you something I have just made. It is a combination of some of my favourite things –

  • my kids
  • christmas
  • making christmas decorations
  • photography
  • and digital scrapbooking!

I am always on the look out for more unusual ways to display photos and digital scrapbooking layouts, so was delighted to find there Photo Ornaments in Boots last week. They are made by shot2go.com.

Using some photos I took on the beach recently with our family christmas card in mind, and Gina’s amazing new digital scrapbooking kit Jolly Holliday, at Weeds & Wildflowers here are the results. I love how they turned out.

I don’t yet have our Christmas trees up yet, so unable to display them on a tree, but I actually quite like them on my branches lit with fairy lights. I love white lights so much, I don’t like restricting them to just Christmas.

It has been a busy week as this weekend our church is having a indoor car boot sale/craft fair/coffee morning, and I have booked a table for my digital scrapbooking business J M Digital Designs. I have furiously been printing out and framing images, creating a slideshow presentation for my laptop, even getting my first business cards printed. Although I probably won’t be taking too many orders on the day, it seemed a good opportunity to advertise what I can do, and raise my profile.

On Tuesday I went on my 4 year old’s school trip to the forest to look for a Christmas tree. It was a wonderful morning, and the kids loved exploring. At the end of the morning Santa appeared with a perfect tree for the kids to bring home on the bus, and was a magical touch for the kids.

Lots more been happening, but I will share that another day, as well as reporting back as to how my first craft fair goes.

For more Show and Tell be sure to visit Kelli at There’s No Place Like Home.

Have a lovely weekend, please leave a comment if you can.

Thanks.

  2. I MUST find some of these ornaments too, I’m sure perhaps our Michaels stores have them. Clever CLEVER idea. Are these curly willow branches you’ve got them hanging from? There are some curly willows growing around our area. There used to be a flower shop, and the owner had them all over the ceiling, with ornaments and mini lights too. It was so utterly beautiful!
