Back at Titanic, Belfast

Last week I managed to escape the building work at home and attend the Invest NI Conference Design for Business.

I arrived in plenty of time, and went for a short walk around outside and took a few photos to share with my bloggy friends.

There were some twinkly white Christmas lights behind the huge TITANIC letters outside.

It is such a statement building, and makes a huge impact as you approach. As each of the 4 “wings” of the building are the same dimensions as the bow of the Titanic, you can imagine how the ship must have towered over the docks and the Belfast skyline as it was being built.

Once inside, I put away my DSLR and made do with a few surreptitious pics on my iphone.

Certainly a stunning venue for the Design for Business conference.

In other news, I have had another very successful craft fair event for Janmary Designs, this time at our own church, Seymour St Methodist, as part of an Advent Flower Festival. (separate post with images of the stunning flowers to follow soon)

I also had a Janmary Designs kids beading party on Saturday afternoon ….. here are the girls showing off their creations. I am available for parties throughout N Ireland – from age 5 to adults, just get in touch.

Over to you – I do love comments! What have you been up to this weekend? What is the most impressive building in your corner of the world? Please share below!

  1. Hi JM,

Thanks for this wonderful blog post – I enjoyed the photos of this unique building, extraordinary! I’m sure if the photos are this fabulous that in real life its breathtaking. Appreciate you sharing your corner of the world!

And once again, you have given me ideas for my Children’s Church, I believe I’ll assemble beading craft packages for my children. Remind me to tell you what’s new with my Children’s Church, its EXCITING!

Also going to incorporate your Church’s “open” prayer for the public during the holiday season on Thursday nights so those who might find this a difficult time of the year have a place of refuge to come to for prayer.

    Blessings to you today,
    friends always, Barb
