An Ikea Christmas on the Second Day of December – cookie cutters!
Yesterday was my appointed “Ikea” day. Just like Beach Cottage I love to go for a wander around (by myself!) near Christmas, and perhaps be inspired, or pick up a few bits and pieces. I also had a couple of gifts to buy, so that was an added justification! My favourite purchase? Cookie cutters! These…
Summers End at Downhill Strand, Northern Ireland
This afternoon we headed over to part of the North Coast of Northern Ireland which we don’t visit so often, the beach at Downhill, just beyond Castlerock. Downhill beach is a 7 mile stretch of golden sand from Magillan Point to Mussenden and apparently is one of the longest beaches in Europe. It was a…
On the beach, Portballintrae
Sharing my daily iPhone photos on my blog – lovely still and calm evening down at Portballintrae – perfect for a short stroll on a Sunday evening.
The convent and promenade at Portstewart
Another view, this time the convent and promenade at Portstewart, but the bitter wind and threat of rain/hail continued!
More lessons, and the start of a dining room makeover
OK – last week I apologized for missing out on blogging, and here I am again…..history is repeating itself! So it is a bit cheeky to ask “Did you miss me?” However, I have blogged ONCE since the last lessons learned – with a wonderful giveaway, sponsored by Uprinting.com. You can win 250 personalised cards…
Craft Storage – before and after

Apparently this is unacceptable. With a trip to IKEA planned for last Friday, I got out their latestbrochure and came up with a…
Beautiful pictures! Autumn is my favourite time of year.
Clare
Those are some beautiful photos 🙂 Isn’t it great to live in a place where fall is so colourful?
love the horsechestnut leaves. Really pretty! Did you notice as many conkers this year? some of the local trees have none at all, yet other years they had hundreds! Loved the harvest photos too. I have a few of my own to put up soon. x
We haven’t managed to find any conkers, but did see a few empty shells, so I assumed everyone else just beat us to it …. but maybe there are much less this year.
Hi JM –
Oh, you’d have me choose? Erm, I’m terrible at this for I think all of your photos are lovely. I miss summer, but the changing of the leaves is so interesting! The cooler weather awakens a desire in me to stay home, snuggle in and CRAFT!
