13th day of December - Welcome to my House Tour

One of the highlights since starting to blog was discovering the annual Home Tour hosted by the delightful BooMama.  This will be my 3rd Christmas inviting blog friends, old and new, to take a peak into my world of Christmas here in N Ireland, and hopefully they will invite me to visit their blogs too.

So whether you have been before, or first time here, come on in and make yourself at home.

Front Door Wreath

Bannister Decorations - the gingerbread hearts are a new addition this year - not my baking I assure you - thanks to Ikea :)

Also in our hallway is our Christmas Pyramid (from Austria) which we light each Sunday of Advent, and sing carols as a family - usually "Away in a Manger"

As the kitchen has had a makeover since last Christrmas, the kitchen/family room would be a good place to start.

A jingley wreath

A heart tree (more Ikea - you will see a pattern developing here!)

Cupboards and windowsills

Before we leave the kitchen, please help yourself to some of my Mum's delicious home baking - Florentines, Shortbread and Mocha Fudge Truffles.  Recipes to follow soon (thanks Mum and Dad!)

On through to the Family Room. The tree - we let the kids decorate the t in here, and as long as there are white lights - anything goes.

These 2 remain some of my fave items on the tree in this room.

Our minature fireplace and stockings

 A child-proof nativity

Some of the "Christmas clutter" on the new shelving.

On to the living room, and here I retain control of the tree and decor!

Cream, gold and neutral shades are the order of the day here.

This year the fireplace continues the gold, cream theme, with some new tree-shaped candles.

On the hearth I was able to use my new tiered baskets to fill with some surplus baubles, golden fruit and cones.

On the piano is a "mini forest" of Christmas trees

And of course, as always another Nativity set.

Do you have a nativity set?

If so, I hope you will come back here on 21 December to join in my Christmas Nativity Set Carnival.

If you grab this button and put it on your blog with a mention of the carnival, be sure to let me know, as there will be some prizes!

Finally, George, our cat, obviously is very keen for the arrival of Santa down the chimney!

So Merry Christmas to you and yours, from Northern Ireland with love - here is  my Christmas Card to you.

If you leave a comment, with a email address or blog, I promise to visit/reply.

Enjoy the tour(s)

Sigh - your house looks DREAMY, like a page out of a magazine. Your designing touch is everywhere and I'm sure you are planting magical seeds of inspiration to your children as they grow up.

I love the photo of George, he's quite the character!

Thanks for inviting us in!

Love, Barb

JM, you're so holiday-ish! I love it!

Oh and sure ... just go ahead and rub it in that you have an Ikea and that I am the last person on the planet who has never been to one.

Your home is lovely and so very festive looking! I am so glad to find a blog from Ireland. I most definitely have a Nativity set, if you visit my blog today you will see it. The photo is very dark unfortunately. Your children are so sweet. Have a wonderful day! Hugs, Cindy S (from Canada)

LOVELY holiday decor!

Photography is a bit disconcerting with all the angled photographs and large watermark. Have a little faith in your readership that your photos will not be used improperly.

I love those little fabric hearts! I have some for V-day...and I must confess, I got a little giddy thinking about decorating for that after Christmas! haha! I do V-day big like Christmas. Gotta love pink and red! :)
